should i audition or not?

Hiya asked:

ok, well, i have this audition thing for violin. it’s pretty tough, and i don’t know if i want to audition. the thing is……i have been working on this music piece for about 2 months now,and i don’t want to disappoint my violin teacher and mom. (my dad is cool with w/e i choose, he just wants me to b happy.) i am actually re-auditioning. the requirements r the excerpts they provide and a random sight reading piece. the sight reading was pretty hard. also, i think it might interfere with school work, because they have rehearsals every Mon. at about 8pm during the school year. so basically my problem is: if i do it, it’ll have to work SUPER hard and i might b bad. if don’t, my violin teacher and my mom will most likely be disappointed in me,maybe even mad. i feel, rly nervous, scared, pressured, stressed, and i’m in a turmoil. srry i cant explain the situation so well, my head is all clouded up, and i cant rly think straight about this. but, i’ll add as much more detail as i can. plz help me, thx! btw, the orchestra group is called: TYOF (The Youth Orchestras of Fairfax) website is: http://tyof.org/news.php
wow, even though it’s just 3 answers…..i feel better. (lol) ok, thx guys!

Do you think I can get into Berklee school of music?

Do you think I can get into Berklee school of music?
I’ve asked this questions before, but I didn’t get many answers.
So here it is:
I want to get into Berklee school of Music.
I just don’t think I’m good enough.
I’ve been playing for around 11 years (I’m 16 turning 17 right now so i start applying this year…) but I don’t practice that much. I don’t have that much time to, but I’m very very very into music. Last few years, I practiced about 3 times a week during the school year. During winter break, maybe like, 10 hours a week and took two lessons a week this winter break.
I’m not the best in my town… (theres a lot of good musicians here… one got accepted to Julliard), but I’m in the top 10 pianists. it’s a pretty small town though.
Anyways… I’m from michigan, and we have SAT for piano. I’ve done pretty well on those (we get tested on theory, sight reading and transposition, aural awareness, performance, and technique.)
So if you do well enough, you go to semifinals. And out of about 12 people, 4 go to finals. i went to finals last year. (final year of testing. There are 10 levels.)
i’m hoping that I can win some competitions this year. (i’m doing three).
Im currently playing Liszt Liebenstraum No. 3 (Nocturne of love), Haydn Sonata Hob XVI No. 50 1st movement, a bach which doenst really matter… and Ginestra Danzas Argentinas.
My jazz isn’t good at all… I haven’t done any before. And my improv isn’t either.
I’m a classical musician (see above lol), but only because all of the competitions here are classical requirements. I love playing new age and pop music.
How does this sound? What are my chances?
Also, my GPA isn’t too shabby (3.6 ish.) and my psat scores were pretty good. (197 i think).
