Susan asked: I stopped playing at 18 now I’m 25 and I want to pick it up again. I did up to grade 7 exams. wouldnt consider myself a particularly fantastic piano player, i find it hard to learn pieces and quite slow at picking up difficult pieces. and especially so since i cant afford a piano teacher at the moment while im in college. but i wanna get to be really good, brilliant even! (is that possible now at this late stage? is it possible without the obvious natural talent of some of the brilliant piano players i see playing on stages. i obv can read music but im slow at sight reading/playing.
sorry about all the questions but i just have the urge to pick it all up where i left off and id love to get really really good.

Smiley asked: I know how to read music (obviously) for several instruments and I take music theory classes! I also compose my own music! However, for piano it takes days for me to learn a song and I see piano players who sit down to an unknown piece and play it from beginning to end without having to stop or learn it line by line! How do they do that? I know you are going to say “practice” which I already do everyday for several hours, but how do you actually get your fingers to follow what your eyes are reading and keep up with it? I always have to look down at my hands then back at the notes, etc. and it is getting frustrating! Help from actual piano experienced people/pianists, please!
