been playin the violin for 6 years now. i always write Royal School’s exams. ive always passed but my sight-readin is the worst. i alwys jus pass the sight-readin test. I can sight read grade 1/2 pieces but that doesnt help when im doin grade 5 this year. i suppose the main problem y i cant site-read is coz i memorize all my pieces within a month of playing them. i mean when i do my exam i never take my music book with the notes. i always play all three pieces from memory so technically im no longer readin – but i suppose LOADS of people can do that right? so any tips on how to improve this technique?

I remember some1 telling me that i should be playin the bass cleft several times and try to memorize it and then play the treble cleft several times and try to memorize, then put it together and play the whole song. but it’s not workin i suck at memory, i mean i could remember some but forget some part, it is extremely slow and is this even the right method if it takes u a month to learn a song this way?
how does pianist sight read and play at the same time?
