Books on music composition?
Allen asked:
I’m guitarist that’s interested in composing music ranging from pop, classical, folk, and jazz. I’ve been taking lessons, learning tunes, and sight reading everyday. The problem is that I want to take music a little bit further. I want to self teach myself how to compose music, because I don’t want to spend too much money on classes. I also find music institutions too restrictive on creativity even though I ironically take private lessons. Any great books out there that anyone can recommend? I’m very disciplined and I believe it’s possible for me to transcend myself.
