Blossom asked: i have a question about the following.
I have an Choir audition coming up in the next two or three weeks and I was wondering what these elements are.
first sight sing- i know it has to do with notes and the different pitches. i have just discovered them like two days ago and don’t know if im suppose to memories them and during the audition (if hes going to play a note and i just tell him? or am i really so post to sing it or do hand signals? and if its singing do i say do ra mi or c d e? and i any tips on how to better my voice would help too.
tone memory- i really don’t know what this is, but I’m guessing that you Just memorize a tone but of what? a song im going to sing or a note?
completely clueless on this.
this is my first time i am trying out for choir in three years. please help me. this is for high school so what scale should i urn to better prepare myself? and i wish to get in a high choir to be with my friends. (i know sound selfish huh? but a girl can dream XD)

Emily asked: I have an audition and interview tomorrow at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and I’m soooo nervous!
This is my top, favorite school, but my very first interview and audition. I don’t want to mess up or make a fool of myself! I’ve prepared my piece, but am still very nervous about the sight reading, ear training, ‘blues progression’ and stuff.
Any words of wisdom, advice, tips, and suggestions would be appreciated!!

Yup thats me asked: Ok so in drum line today me and this other kid where auditioning for the only open spot on snare. He had been taking lesson from our instructor and has been working on the music for 2 or 3 weeks now. I have been taking lessons form a guy my instructor recommended. I only had the music for one day. During the audition, i screwed up one bceause i was nervous two because i hadn’t had the music that long. then we had to do sight reading and i played it almost perfectly. he didn’t. Drum line captain said i should of made it on snare. but our instructor chose the other kid. my mom thinks i should send him an e-mailing stating i don’t think this was fair. It wasn’t. Yet i don’t want to sound like im complaining. Do you think it would be reasonable to send him an e-mail?
