For the competition, we have to sight read, play all twelve scales (the Chromatic as well), and our prepared music as well. I don’t have all the scales memorized, I’m working on that, and my Chromatic is ok. I suck at sight reading. But, my prepared sheet sounds great.

I’m really nervous, any tips? Also, if you have any ideas that I could add to the piece (stacsto, retards, slurs, crecendo, ect.) please let me know!

Right now I’m trying to decide between buying another Tascam Guitar Trainer (my first one broke), or a Yamaha Keyboard

I have a slight problem with tendinitis so I can’t practice as much as I want + sometimes I just get burt out on guitar.

I love music and I think learning keyboard would be really fulfilling as opposed to just getting slightly better on the guitar.

I just ordered a snare rudiment book to study rhythms (I have a snare).

What do you think about my initial question?

I’m a Soprano 1 in Advanced Choir and I can sing with other people, just not alone, and occasionally we have random tests where we have to sing and sight-read alone out-loud and I just can’t do it. My voice will be totally off-pitch and scratchy-sounding, when it’s smooth and really good with other people singing with me.
Is there a way for me to train my voice to do better alone or something?? I practice every day.
