How can I sing better alone and w/o music?

I’m a Soprano 1 in Advanced Choir and I can sing with other people, just not alone, and occasionally we have random tests where we have to sing and sight-read alone out-loud and I just can’t do it. My voice will be totally off-pitch and scratchy-sounding, when it’s smooth and really good with other people singing with me.
Is there a way for me to train my voice to do better alone or something?? I practice every day.

How to Sight Read Music Video Lesson
I actually had the same problem. What’s happening is you can blend very very well, but when you have nothing to blend to or lead your notes, you tend to get off key. Work with a tuner. First, hold your notes out long and then try short ahs while keeping them in tune. Then try singing with someone and have them drop out, and work on your consistency.
